All Aboard!!

My new school is the largest in Niimi, with just over 300 students, and it looks like a cruise ship!
Surely that's a rare thing in Japan?

Due to a sudden and torrential downpour, it was touch and go as to whether the Niimi Furusato Matsuri would kick off or not, but after extending the city employee enkai for a few more rounds, the rain stopped and we took to the streets.Each dancing team lined up on the main street.Here's Izumi Mama's team ready to go.

The dancing started, and I joined in for one lap of the main street before proceeding to get incredibly drunk.

After acting the social butterfly on the streets and in sushi bars, somehow, we all managed to gather at Izumi in the early hours of the morning for some karaoke and general mayhem.Finally, Mama gave me a lift home at 4am, and I became so hungover that I had to miss the Uraja Festival in Okayama City the next day.
